DJs for company parties, seminars and year-end events

A company party is judged on its last hour.

Seminars, year-end parties, launches, galas. A DJ who can read a room full of colleagues, and one person to call, from the plenary to the last track.

What we cover

From the plenary to the gala.

A team of thirty or a full convention, a hotel or a hangar. The format changes, the rule stays the same: the music serves the moment, never the DJ's ego.

  1. Seminar

The closing night, the one that wipes out a day of slides.

  2. Company party

A company anniversary, a client evening, the works council party.

  3. Year-end, Christmas party

Late November to mid-December: the dates go quickly, so it pays to book from September.

  4. Product launch

A build timed to the reveal, a performer on cue as the screens light up.

  5. Gala, awards night

Three audiences in one room, a microphone to hand round, then a dance floor to open.

  6. Drinks, opening

Conversation volume, music that dresses the space without drowning out the room.

How the evening runs

Five moments, one thread.

A DJ doesn't play the same thing at 7pm and at midnight. Here is the typical running order for a corporate evening, the one we agree with you and the venue before the day.

  1. 5.30 pmPart 01

    The plenary

The DJ sets up during the talks without a sound. Walk-in music, walk-out music, and something ready if a speaker needs a sting.

  2. 7.30 pmPart 02

    The drinks

Conversation volume. People should be able to talk business without raising their voices. The DJ plays for the room, not for himself. Add a saxophone here and the whole reception changes pace.

Mountain hotel bar, glasses on the counter, log fire
  3. 9 pmPart 03

    The dinner

Background music paced to the service. A microphone ready for the speeches and the awards, in step with the caterer and the venue's technical team. Nobody hunts for a cable at the last minute.

  4. 10.30 pmPart 04

    The dance floor

The switch. The DJ takes the room from dinner to the dance floor without losing the senior managers or the interns. If percussion is booked, this is its entrance.

  5. 1.30 amPart 05

    The close

A last track chosen with care, not cut off. The lights come up slowly and the room leaves to music. Packing down waits until the guests have gone.

Times are a guide. The running order is agreed with you, your event agency if you have one, and the venue.

Adding a performer

The DJ, and someone else.

A live instrument over the DJ: the moment your teams film. It comes in at a precise point in the evening, not for the whole night.

  • SaxophoneDuring drinks, then opening the dance floor with the DJ.
  • ViolinA launch or a gala: the moment the phones come out.
  • PercussionWhen the dance floor opens, over the DJ: the room steps up a gear.
  • VocalsSoul or jazz for the welcome and dinner, then the microphone goes back to the DJ.

Each performer adds 600 to 1,200 EUR to the range. The estimator includes it as soon as you tick the box.

Codes, not names.

Profiles who regularly play seminars and galas. You see the work, never the person: the agency makes the choice based on your brief, and the name is revealed on a video call, once you have accepted the proposal and paid the deposit.

Every profile, DJs and performers, filterable by market and by style.

Questions

What we get asked before signing.

Our budget is tight. Wouldn't a cheap DJ do the job?

A DJ who doesn't know how a corporate evening works plays too loud during drinks, has no idea what to do during the speeches and empties the floor by 11pm. The party is often the only part of the seminar people are still talking about on Monday. The price range is shown from the start, so you know exactly where you stand.

What if the DJ cancels the day before?

We immediately look for a replacement of the same tier from the roster, at no extra cost to you. In the vast majority of cases, we find one. If that isn't possible, you are told straight away and refunded in full, deposit included. You haven't bought a name: the searching is our job, not yours.

We need an invoice, a contract and a technical rider for the venue.

Every booking comes with a contract and an invoice. The technical rider goes to the venue before the event, and we keep it on file for the following year.

Our teams range from 25 to 60. What kind of music should we go for?

That is exactly what the brief is for. A corporate DJ is judged on taking the room from drinks to the dance floor without losing the senior managers or the interns. You describe the crowd, we choose the artist who knows how to do it.

Why don't you show the DJs' names?

Because a name proves nothing. We show the method, the places the team has played and the work of each profile. The agency makes the choice based on your brief, and the artist's name is revealed on a video call, once you have accepted the proposal and paid the deposit.

Estimate

Describe the evening. We choose the artist.

You had to be there.

Three questions for a price range, the rest on the next page, then a firm proposal. One point of contact from the brief to the last track.
