Twenty-one years of nights.
Le Singe Music comes out of the DJ booths of Lyon's clubs. Behind the agency there is one person to talk to: Freddy, founder and DJ on the roster.

From Lyon's clubs to the agency.
A DJ who plays, then a collective, then an agency. The job never changed along the way: read a room and hold it until the last track.
-

Club, mid-set 2005, the clubs of Lyon.
Freddy starts out behind the decks in Lyon's clubs. He learns the job where it is still learned today: by playing, in front of rooms that give you nothing for free.
-

Freddy, on a mountain terrace Le Singe Events.
Around him, a collective of DJs. Seminars, weddings, marquees at two in the morning, hotel residencies in the mountains, including four years at the Hôtel Marielle in Val Thorens.
-

The monkey head, still there Le Singe Music.
The collective becomes an agency: two rosters (DJs and performers), three audiences (companies, weddings and private events, venues), one point of contact. The name changes; the monkey head in a bow tie stays.
This job has existed for more than forty years. Nobody has ever explained it.
People book a DJ for the most important night of their year without knowing what they are buying. That is not the client's fault. Nobody ever gave them the means to judge.
-
No standard.
No required qualification, no recognised certification. Anyone can buy a controller and call themselves a DJ the next day.
-
Nobody knows the prices.
How much does a wedding DJ cost? Most people have no idea. So they compare what they can see: a rate, a photo, a follower count.
-
Good DJ or bad DJ, you can't tell by looking.
The difference is not in the photo. You hear it in the last hour: a dance floor still full, or already empty.
So we explain: public prices, a written method, a written replacement commitment, and guides that teach you how to choose.
Why I'm the one who chooses the artist.
When you pick a DJ on a website, you judge what you can see. What makes the night can't be seen.
Reading a room. Feeling the moment it tips. Knowing when to push and when to let it breathe. None of that shows up in a photo, a list of genres or a follower count.
I can see it. I've been doing this job since 2005 and I know every artist on the roster: I've listened to their mixes, and I talked to each of them before they joined. So you describe your evening to me, and I choose the one who can hold it. Not the one who's free, not the one with the best photo.
That's why the roster shows no names. You're not booking a name on a poster, you're booking a night that works. The artist's name is revealed on a video call, once you have accepted the proposal and paid the deposit.
You had to be there.
The photos that are missing.
Freddy never liked photographing the nights. When he plays, he watches the room, not his phone. To anyone who complained that he never kept anything, he always gave the same answer: you had to be there.
It became the house motto, and it explains this site: few faces, no names on the roster, a single face: the founder's. A night is something you live. Not something you look at afterwards.
